About Our School Principal
Mr. Jim Shaw

Mr. Shaw graduated from Mabank High School in 1984.
He received his B.A. in Social Studies and Language Arts in 1994 from East Texas State University and his M.A. in Education from Texas A&M/Commerce in 2000. Mr. Shaw comes to Sam Rayburn after fourteen years at Ector ISD. He was a secondary teacher for six years and was the school principal for the last eight. Mr. Shaw has a wife, Tammie, and two children, Kassie and Will. Mr. Shaw is beginning his fourth year with Sam Rayburn.
He looks forward to working with the students, faculty, and parents in creating the best possible learning environment for the children of Sam Rayburn ISD.
